How we vet funding partners
Most financing sites sell your application to a network and let the phone calls sort it out. We do the opposite, and it only works if the one partner we send you to is worth sending you to.
The model, stated plainly
Guilder Funding is a matching service. We are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions. When you complete our form, we send your file to a single funding partner whose products fit your profile, that partner's specialist calls you, and you decide whether the terms work. The partner pays us a referral fee when they accept an application. That fee does not change the rate or terms you are offered, and it is the only way we make money.
One file, one partner. Your information is never posted to a marketplace, auctioned to whoever bids, or resold to other brokers. If you have ever filled out a financing form and spent the next month fielding calls from numbers you have never seen, you have experienced the model we built this company to not be.
What we require before we work with a partner
They actually fund businesses like yours. Not "all industries welcome" marketing copy, but a real track record in the sector. A restaurant, a framing contractor, and a dental practice have three different cash-flow shapes, and the difference between a partner who understands yours and one who does not shows up directly in your offer.
More than one product on the shelf. A partner who only sells merchant cash advances will solve every problem with a merchant cash advance. We require a real product range, term loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, working capital, so the recommendation can follow your situation instead of their inventory.
Payback structures that respect real cash flow. Fixed daily pulls sized against your best month are how owners end up in the stacking cycle we describe here. A partner needs to offer structures a business can actually live with through a slow stretch or a long receivables cycle.
A human calls, and terms come in writing. Your application is handled by a named specialist who walks you through what you qualify for and puts the numbers in front of you before you commit anything. No auto-dialers, no pressure scripts, no terms that change on the closing call.
Your data stays put. The partner uses your information to underwrite your application, and that is it. No reselling, no sharing with their own network of brokers.
What we send, and when
We send exactly what you give us on the form: your business details, what you are looking for, and your contact information. We tell you this before you submit, we name our current partners in our Privacy Policy as the law requires, and you can opt out of the transfer at any time via our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Why we keep the partner list short
A short list is the honest consequence of the requirements above. We would rather route every business to a partner we know well than maintain a long roster for the sake of appearing bigger. When a partner stops meeting the bar, they come off the list. When your profile does not fit any partner we work with, we say that, rather than sending your file somewhere it will sit.
